Police search for missing Canberra man James Parrett

Police are seeking public assistance to locate 27-year-old James Parrett, who has been missing since late August 2026. Parrett was last seen on 25 August while traveling through the New South Wales South Coast and Illawarra regions.

According to ACT Policing, Parrett left the Canberra suburb of Kambah on 24 August in a red Kia Rio hatchback. His vehicle, which has significant hail damage to the bonnet and roof, was last confirmed at the Wollongong Central Shopping Centre on the morning of 25 August. Since then, there have been no confirmed sightings of Parrett or his vehicle, and authorities noted that none of his bank accounts have been accessed.

Parrett is described as a Caucasian male with a fair complexion, short messy brown hair, brown eyes, and glasses. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black track pants, and a black jumper featuring a blue and white ‘GTR Roofs’ logo. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers ACT.
