Police search for missing court assistant Jana Šerjeníková

Police and family members are continuing a search for Jana Šerjeníková, a 38-year-old court assistant from Frýdek-Místek, who has been missing for 14 days. She disappeared between the night of September 2 and the morning of September 3, after which she failed to arrive at her workplace at the Regional Court in Ostrava.

At the time of her disappearance, Šerjeníková left behind her identification documents, money, and mobile phone, taking only a grey backpack. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, shiny dark leggings, and beige lace-up shoes. Authorities have expressed concern that she may be in danger to her life or health, noting that leaving without means of communication is highly unusual.

Investigators have utilized drones to search areas including the Olešná and Žermanice reservoirs, Beskydy mountain cottages, and various shopping centers. The search has expanded beyond the Moravian-Silesian Region and has involved international police assistance. Detectives are specifically requesting dashcam footage from vehicles that were parked or driving near Tolstého and Antala Staška streets between 9:00 PM on September 2 and 7:00 AM on September 3.
