Police search for missing mother Jana Šerjeniková

Police and criminal investigators are conducting an intensive search for Jana Šerjeniková, a 38-year-old mother of two and court assistant from Frýdek-Místek who has been missing for twelve days.

Šerjeniková disappeared around the first Thursday of September after leaving her home for work in Ostrava. She left without her phone, identification, money, or documents, carrying only a backpack. Investigators have searched her office at the court building in Ostrava for clues.

The search has expanded across the Czech Republic, with recent leads suggesting she may have crossed into Slovakia. Consequently, Slovak police have joined the operation. Authorities are utilizing drones to search areas around the Olešná and Žermanice reservoirs and are inspecting mountain cabins. Police are also requesting dashcam footage from residents in Frýdek-Místek to assist in the investigation.
