Police seek witnesses after car vandalism in Bad Kissingen and theft in Lauterecken

The Bad Kissingen police reported two incidents in early June 2026. On 10 June a green BMW was deliberately scratched on a parking space in Salinenstraße between 17:15 and 20:35, and police opened a vandalism investigation. Between 8 June and 9 June a white Opel Insignia was hit and damaged in Domstraße, Oerlenbach‑Rottershausen, after the driver fled the scene. Authorities are asking anyone with observations to contact the Bad Kissingen police.

In Lauterecken, police announced a separate crime on 12 June. Between 18:30 and 19:30 an unknown perpetrator smashed the passenger window of a Hyundai i20 parked at a fitness‑studio lot on Am Schwimmbad street, then stole a wallet containing cash and documents. The Lauterecken police warned residents not to leave valuables visible in vehicles and requested tips from the public.
