Police seize equipment at unauthorised music event near Almondsbury
Avon and Somerset Police seized sound equipment following an unauthorised music event near Almondsbury, South Gloucestershire, on Saturday, August 22. Officers responded to dozens of calls regarding the gathering at an area off Marshwall Lane, where between 100 and 150 people were present.
The event caused traffic congestion, partially blocking nearby roads. Police intervened shortly after 5:00 PM by turning off the music and issuing a dispersal notice. Most attendees had vacated the area by 7:00 PM.
Authorities stated the equipment was seized on the grounds of public nuisance. Police credited members of the public for reporting the event early, which allowed officers to prevent the gathering from continuing through the night. Officials warned that unlicensed music events often occur in unsafe locations and can cause significant community disruption.
