Police seize illegal weapons and ammunition in Argentina

In Concordia, police executing a raid linked to a prior threat complaint discovered a .22 caliber revolver, three 12‑gauge anti‑aircraft cartridges classified as war‑use materials, and packaging of cocaine and marijuana along with a precision scale. The seized items were placed under judicial custody and the occupants face new charges for illegal firearms, war‑grade ammunition, and drug trafficking.

Separately, in the Textil neighbourhood of La Banda, officers from the Tactical Motorized Unit intercepted a fleeing group, detained a young man and confiscated a homemade shotgun known locally as a “tumbera” together with two 12‑gauge shotgun cartridges. The weapon and ammunition were secured for forensic analysis while the detained youth was transferred to the community police station for further legal processing.
