Police seize large drug caches and arrest suspects in Matinhos and Alto Paraguai, Brazil

In Matinhos, Brazil, military police detained an 18‑year‑old suspect and a 17‑year‑old adolescent while uncovering a major drug stash. The raid yielded 557 g of marijuana, 20 crack rocks, portions of cocaine, a piece of hashish, a precision scale, a card‑reading machine and assorted cash. The two youths were taken to the civil police station, while a 21‑year‑old encountered during the operation was released.

In Alto Paraguai, Brazil, a 19‑year‑old man and a 23‑year‑old woman were arrested after police acted on a tip that a residence was a drug‑selling point. Officers seized 98 cocaine portions, a base‑paste portion, a marijuana portion, two precision scales, a card‑reading machine, several mobile phones and more than 3,600 reais in cash. The couple was transferred to the local police station for processing.
