Police seize six armed youths in Tangerang Selatan to avert gang clash

Police from the Brimob unit of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, together with the Tangerang Selatan Police, arrested six young men suspected of planning a gang fight in the Gang Nurul Huda area of Ciputat, Tangerang Selatan. The operation recovered nine sharp weapons, including six samurai‑style blades, a machete, a golok and a gear. Kombes Pol Henik Maryanto, head of the Brimob unit, said the raid followed a community tip received through the 110 emergency line and was part of a preventive effort to stop potential violence that could endanger residents. The suspects were handed over to the Tangerang Selatan Police for further investigation, and authorities urged the public to report any plans for clashes or possession of weapons.

The police emphasized that rapid response to community reports and increased patrols are essential to maintaining public order and preventing injuries before they occur.
