Multiple violent crimes and arrests reported across India

Several violent incidents and subsequent police actions have been reported across various Indian states.

In Jharkhand, police arrested four individuals in West Singhbhum for the murder of a 46-year-old woman accused of witchcraft. In Bokaro, a 65-year-old retired employee was killed with a stone by an individual seeking money for drug use; the suspect has been apprehended. Additionally, in Godda, five men were arrested under the POCSO Act following the gang rape of a minor returning from a fair.

In Maharashtra, authorities arrested two men from Uttar Pradesh for the murder and robbery of an elderly woman in Palghar. In Dhanbad, two suspects were taken into custody following a fatal altercation during a birthday party.

Other reported crimes include a robbery in Agra, where three suspects were caught after targeting a motorcyclist, and the arrest of a theft suspect in Nagpur who had been evading police for three years.
