Police sub-inspector dies in Yoro vehicle accident

Delsy Maribel Hernández Hernández, a 28-year-old sub-inspector of the National Police, died following a vehicle accident in the Chancaya sector of the Yoro municipality in Honduras.

According to preliminary reports, Hernández lost control of her red Toyota Corolla while driving through the Chancaya slope, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and fall into a deep ravine. The impact was fatal, and the driver died at the scene.

The Yoro Fire Department conducted a vertical rescue operation using ropes and specialized equipment to reach the vehicle at the bottom of the abyss. Following the recovery of the body, the scene was handed over to the Public Ministry and Forensic Medicine for the necessary legal procedures.
