Police use and seizure of Taser devices reported in Spain and Argentina
In Martos, Spain, local police seized a high-power electric device that was disguised as a large flashlight during a patrol in Plaza del Llanete. Upon inspecting the belongings of two suspicious individuals, officers discovered the device, which is restricted to authorized personnel. The individual carrying the device was also found to be under a judicial order prohibiting the possession of any weapons.
In Neuquén, Argentina, police utilized a TASER 10 for the first time during an intervention near Racedo and Pirker streets. The incident began when urban monitoring systems detected a man acting threateningly while allegedly carrying a knife. After the suspect refused orders to drop the weapon, police fired deterrent shots from a shotgun. A second individual then attempted to attack officers with blunt objects. Following protocol for the proportional use of force, officers deployed the TASER 10 to subdue both men. The entire operation was recorded via body cameras.
