Polignano a Mare hosts Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series finale
Polignano a Mare, Italy, hosted the season finale of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2026. The event, which took place within the historic center of the town, saw athletes diving from heights of 21 and 27 meters into the sea, reaching speeds exceeding 85 kilometers per hour.
British diver Aidan Heslop secured the 2026 World Series title, winning his second King Kahekili Trophy. Heslop finished the season with 78 points, narrowly defeating American James Lichtenstein (73 points) and Romanian Constantin Popovici (68 points).
The weekend event drew approximately 45,000 spectators who watched the competition from cliffs, beaches, and local balconies. This marks the thirteenth time Polignano a Mare has been included in the World Series calendar and the third time it has hosted the season finale.
