Polignano a Mare to host music festival honoring Domenico Modugno

Polignano a Mare will host the “Polignano a Mare Città della Musica” event from September 4 to 7. The initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Polignano a Mare in collaboration with the Puglia Region and Puglia Culture, aims to celebrate the legacy of Domenico Modugno and the tradition of Italian singer-songwriter music.

The four-day program includes concerts, meetings, cinema, and cultural discussions featuring various artists such as Syria, Peppe Voltarelli with the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, Marco Castello, Anna Castiglia, Frankie hi-nrg mc, and Daniele Silvestri.

The project seeks to connect the historical identity of the territory with contemporary musical languages, evolving from a tribute to Modugno into a broader cultural project that integrates performance, training, and regional valorization.
