Poligon literary festival opens in Mostar

The 11th edition of the international literary festival ‘Poligon’ has opened at the ‘Ivo Andrić’ Book Club in Mostar. This year’s program focuses on literature as a platform during global crises and examines the impact of artificial intelligence on contemporary culture.

Festival organizer Mirko Božić described artificial intelligence as a ‘double-edged sword’ for literature, noting its utility in administrative tasks while expressing concern regarding its potential influence on the creative process. The event also includes workshops in Mostar schools to engage young people with literature.

The opening ceremony featured a tribute to the late poet Andriana Škunca, prepared by author Sanela Kuko. The festival, which includes authors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, runs until October 3.
