Barbara Kurdej-Szatan discusses professional image challenges

Polish actress Barbara Kurdej-Szatan has discussed the challenges of working in the entertainment industry, specifically regarding professional branding and competition. She noted that the high level of competition often forces actors to accept any available work to maintain employment.

Kurdej-Szatan expressed a desire to move beyond her established public image as a ‘cheerful blonde,’ a label she feels has limited her professional opportunities. To challenge this perception, she recently produced her own emotionally demanding theatrical production for her 40th birthday, a project she believes she would not have been cast in due to her existing screen persona.
