Polish actors Michał Malinowski and Wojciech Klata pivot from acting careers

Polish actors Michał Malinowski and Wojciech Klata have both made significant departures from traditional acting careers to pursue different life paths.

Michał Malinowski, a graduate of the Łódź Film School known for roles in TVN and Polsat series such as ‘Na Wspólnej’ and ‘Pierwsza miłość’, chose to leave stable television work to build his own boat and sail solo across the ocean. His decision was influenced by his upbringing, as his parents also prioritized personal passions over conventional career stability.

Wojciech Klata, widely recognized for his role as Oskar in the cult comedy ‘Chłopaki nie płaczą’, has also moved away from being in front of the camera. Despite an early career that included appearances in works by Krzysztof Kieślowski and Andrzej Wajda, as well as Steven Spielberg’s ‘Schindler’s List’, Klata transitioned to working behind the scenes in the media industry.
