Polish actress Helena Englert expands music career and TV presence

Helena Englert, daughter of well‑known Polish actors Jan Englert and Beata Ścibakówna, has shifted her focus from acting to a music career under the name Hela. In 2023 she performed at the Open’er Festival and is set to join the upcoming season of Poland’s "Dancing with the Stars". While critics debate the influence of her famous family name, Englert stresses that she works continuously in film, television and music, aiming to build an artistic identity separate from her parents’ legacy.

Her recent roles include a lead in the series "#BringBackAlice" on HBO Max and a starring part in the drama "Pokus". Englert acknowledges the scrutiny she faces as a "nepo baby" but says she does not intend to apologize for her background, preferring to let her work speak for itself.
