Jelena Ostapenko and Maja Chwalinska add new staff ahead of Toronto WTA tournaments

Latvian player Jelena Ostapenko has brought former Iga Świątek coach Piotr Sierzputowski into her training camp ahead of the WTA 1000 event in Toronto. The coach appeared in an Instagram video with Ostapenko’s regular coach Krisjanis Stabins and said he feels great working with her.

Polish rising star Maja Chwalinska announced the addition of physiotherapist Mikołaj Jakóbczyk, a former decathlete who has worked with Hubert Hurkacz and Magda Linette. The existing psychologist arrangement with Alicja Nowicka remains unchanged, and physical trainer Maciej Ryszczuk will continue to assist both Chwalinska and Świątek. Both players are using the new support staff as they prepare for the Toronto tournament leading up to the US Open.
