Polish archdioceses announce new liturgical and musical training programs

Religious institutions in Poland have announced new educational opportunities for liturgical service and music.

The Archdiocese of Gniezno has opened recruitment for the Study of Church Music and the Primatial Choir. The four-year program, based in Gniezno, provides theoretical and practical training in religious music history, organ playing, and choral conducting. Graduates receive a diploma qualifying them to work as organists in cathedrals and parish churches throughout Poland. Auditions for the choir are scheduled for September 11, with classes beginning on September 12.

In the Archdiocese of Krakow, registration is open until September 24 for the Parish Ceremonialist School. This 10-month program is designed for young men between the ages of 14 and 25 who are interested in liturgical service. The curriculum includes monthly meetings, weekly workshops, and a day of reflection, aimed at preparing participants to lead liturgical teams and assist clergy. The first meeting for the 2026/2027 edition is set for September 26.
