Polish Armed Forces complete testing of new camouflage pattern

The Polish Armed Forces have completed multi-season effectiveness testing for a new camouflage print intended to replace the current ‘Pantera’ and ‘Pantera M’ patterns. The research, conducted by the Military Research and Development Centre for Uniformed Services, took place at the Land Forces Training Center in Nowa Dęba.

To ensure reliability across changing seasonal landscapes, testing was carried out during various times of the year to account for variations in light, vegetation density, and ground appearance. Participants in the evaluation included soldiers from various branches, as well as special forces, snipers, and marksmen, who assessed how easily a camouflaged silhouette could be detected from a distance.

A final report is being prepared for the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces. While the new pattern is intended for most branches of the military, its implementation will be gradual, and the final decision rests with the Minister of National Defence. The specific design of the new camouflage has not yet been disclosed.
