Polish Armed Forces unveil new K03 'Ryś' tactical uniform

The Polish Ministry of National Defence has officially unveiled the K03 'Ryś' tactical uniform, intended to replace the current field uniform that has been in use for 33 years. Presented during a conference in Ciechanów, the new design aims to significantly improve soldier safety and concealment in a modern, transparent battlefield environment.

The new camouflage pattern utilizes five colors found in the Polish landscape and is designed to prevent pattern repetition. Military tests indicate that the 'Ryś' pattern is approximately 30 percent more effective at masking silhouettes than the existing 'Pantera' pattern. The uniforms are constructed from lightweight, flexible, and more durable materials, with specific anatomical cuts designed for both men and women to improve comfort and range of motion.

Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that 1 billion PLN will be allocated for soldier equipment. The implementation process is scheduled to begin in 2026, initially targeting Tier 1 and special forces units. Additionally, the new uniform design has been patented across Poland and the European Union.
