Polish Army tests unmanned ground platforms

The Polish Army is advancing its procurement plans for unmanned ground platforms (BPL) to support soldiers on the front lines. Following initial tests in May at the Orzysz training ground, which focused on logistical tasks such as ammunition delivery and casualty evacuation, the military is moving into a new phase of testing.

These upcoming trials will evaluate the platforms' combat and reconnaissance capabilities. The military is seeking modular designs that allow for interchangeable equipment, such as 12.7 mm heavy machine guns for offensive tasks or stretchers for medical evacuation. Additionally, the platforms are expected to feature advanced reconnaissance systems, including high-resolution cameras, night vision, and thermal imaging to enable continuous battlefield observation.
