Polish artists Basia Giewont and Wiktoria Jakubowska unveil new singles
Basia Giewont released her new single “Wódka”, blending folk‑electronic sounds with a danceable beat while addressing the social issue of alcoholism. The track, slated for a live debut during the Pol'and'Rock Festival’s Nocny ASP program, portrays a narrative of dependence, isolation and the illusion of escape offered by alcohol.
Wiktoria Jakubowska introduced the single “OPOWIEDZ”, a psych‑delic, atmospheric song that explores the boundary between reality and imagination. The release serves as a preview for her upcoming solo album “MESS GIRL”, which she writes, performs and produces herself. Jakubowska describes the track as an attempt to capture “something that cannot be named in one sentence”.
