Polish athletes Bukowiecki and Fajdek face competitive setbacks

Polish shot putter Konrad Bukowiecki finished seventh at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Chorzów. Despite a season record of 21.34 meters, Bukowiecki noted that competitive pressure and mental factors have impacted his recent performances, following a previous elbow injury.

In hammer throw, Paweł Fajdek expressed ongoing frustration regarding his fifth-place finish at the European Championships in Birmingham. Fajdek attributed his performance to poor technical conditions, specifically claiming the throwing circle was improperly prepared and slippery, which prevented him from executing his rotations effectively. He noted that despite the time elapsed since the event, he remains disappointed by the lack of accountability from organizers regarding the circle's condition.
