Polish athletes face injury setbacks in speedway and volleyball

Damian Ratajczak, a speedway rider for Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Góra, has reflected on a challenging season marked by a serious injury and transfer rumors. Despite the team finishing sixth in the PGE Ekstraliga, Ratajczak noted that injuries to key players and organizational changes significantly impacted their performance. He expressed a commitment to learning from the season and working with his team to improve for the upcoming year.

In volleyball, Polish national team player Aleksander Śliwka is facing a new setback due to an overuse ankle injury. Currently playing for PGE Projekt Warszawa, Śliwka is using a wheelchair to avoid putting weight on his foot. While he is approaching the stage of rehabilitation and strengthening the joint, coaching staff have stated it is not yet possible to provide a specific date for his return to competition.
