Polish athletes make significant moves in volleyball and football
In volleyball, Kamil Semeniuk is reportedly set to return to the Polish Tauron Liga. After five years in Italy with Sir Safety Perugia, where he won the Italian championship and two Champions League titles, the 30-year-old opposite is expected to join Asseco Resovia. Resovia reportedly won the transfer race against PGE Projekt Warszawa to secure the player, who is currently the only active member of Poland's 2026 European Championship gold-medal squad playing abroad.
In football, Sebastian Szymański has seen a surge in form following his move from Fenerbahce to Stade Rennais in France. Playing alongside fellow Pole Przemysław Frankowski, Szymański has become a key figure for the Ligue 1 side. His recent performances include a brace in a 3:0 victory against RC Strasbourg, highlighted by a long-distance goal. Stade Rennais has maintained a strong position in the league standings, recently trailing leaders PSG by only one point.
