Polish athletes Piotr Małachowski and Daria Zabawska make headlines

Former Polish athlete Piotr Małachowski has clarified the details of his monthly income, noting that it consists of an Olympic reward and a military pension. He explained that his Olympic allowance, earned from silver medals in Beijing 2008 and Rio 2016, amounts to approximately 4,900 PLN per month. Additionally, he receives a military pension of 3,600 PLN. Małachowski noted that his decision to remain in the military was influenced by his commander, Captain Zbigniew Stankiewicz.
