Polish Athletics Awards Highlight Jakub Szymański and Klaudia Kazimierska

The Złote Kolce awards gala, presented in a new format by the Polish Athletic Association (PZLA), celebrated the top performers of the athletics season. Jakub Szymański was named the standout athlete of the year following his gold medal performance in the 60m hurdles at the World Indoor Championships in Toruń.

In the women's rankings, Klaudia Kazimierska overtook Natalia Bukowiecka for the top spot. Kazimierska's rise was driven by her European vice-championship, a Diamond League victory in Brussels, a triumph at the World Athletics Ultimate Championships in Budapest, and a Polish record set at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial.

The event also featured legendary figures of Polish athletics, including Marian Woronin and Robert Korzeniowski, to summarize the year's achievements.
