Polish athletics: Słodzińska to compete in Szczecin as Kuś misses Chorzów event

Polish athletics see updates regarding upcoming major competitions. Maja Słodzińska, the new Polish high jump champion, is set to compete in the 9th Wiesław Maniaka Memorial in Szczecin on August 26. Słodzińska, who recently set a personal record of 1.88 m at the Polish Championships, earned a spot at the European Championships following her recovery from a significant injury.

In contrast, 19-year-old 400-meter runner Anastazja Kuś will not participate in the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Chorzów. Despite being a U20 world champion and one of Poland's top sprinters, Kuś stated she did not receive an invitation from the event organizers, noting the decision was unexpected given her recent competitive form.
