Polish authorities deport Ukrainian man, impose 7‑year Schengen ban

Polish police and border guards deported a 44‑year‑old Ukrainian citizen after a joint operation in Nowy Sącz and the Carpathian Border Guard unit. Despite holding a residence permit, the man was deemed a threat to public safety due to a series of offenses, including driving under the influence with a blood‑alcohol level above three promille, causing a serious road collision, and repeated disturbances in public places. He was transferred to the border post in Zakopane and handed over to Ukrainian authorities. The Polish Border Guard in Zakopane issued a decision barring him from re‑entering Poland and all Schengen Area states for seven years.
