Polish Aviation Museum to host 2026 Aviation Day in Kraków

The Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków will host the 2026 Polish Aviation Day on August 30. The event commemorates the 100th anniversary of the historic flight by Bolesław Orliński and Leonard Kubiak, who were the first to complete the Warsaw–Tokyo–Warsaw route, covering over 22,000 kilometers.

The program includes patriotic ceremonies, aircraft flyovers, and the opening of a temporary exhibition titled ‘Arrived Tokio!’. This exhibition will detail the preparations, the journey's dramatic moments, and the reception the pilots received in Japan. Other scheduled activities include meetings with authors of a new biography of Orliński, historical reenactments inspired by Japanese culture, guided tours, and musical performances.
