Polish aviation sector faces major leadership changes
The Polish aviation sector is experiencing significant leadership changes. The Supervisory Board of Polskie Porty Lotnicze (PPL) has dismissed Adam Sanocki from the management board. Sanocki was responsible for strategy, international development, communication, marketing, IT, cybersecurity, and internal audit. While no official reason for his removal was provided, the move follows changes in government oversight regarding the Central Communication Port (CPK).
Simultaneously, the Association of Regional Airports (ZRPL) is facing a leadership vacuum. Following the dismissal of Anna Midera from her position as president of Łódź Airport, she will also lose her role as president of the ZRPL. The dismissal at Łódź Airport follows an audit that identified irregularities and a reported net loss of over 300 million PLN during her nine-year tenure, despite an increase in passenger numbers. Currently, regional airport presidents have expressed reluctance to take over the leadership of the ZRPL.
