Polish banks Pekao and PKO BP launch new customer promotions

Major Polish banks are intensifying competition for new customers through various promotional offers.

Bank Pekao S.A. has extended its ‘Travel Promotion’ until January 12, 2027. Under the existing terms, new customers can receive up to 2,400 PLN for travel-related expenses, plus an additional 300 PLN for opening an account online and actively using a card, totaling potential benefits of 2,700 PLN. Michał Panowicz, Vice President of Bank Pekao S.A., noted that the extension responds to growing travel trends among Poles.

Simultaneously, PKO BP is offering a cash-based promotion for new customers through December 31, 2026. The offer includes up to 600 PLN in cash, consisting of 500 PLN in card payment refunds and 100 PLN for account diligence. Additional incentives include 300 PLN via PKO Children's Accounts, up to 1,200 PLN in Allegro shopping refunds, and a 4% interest rate on savings accounts up to 250,000 PLN for 90 days. This promotion is limited to 12,000 accounts.
