Polish basketball hopefuls compete in NBA Summer League and attend Chicago youth camp

Polish forward Igor Milicic Jr., 23, made his third NBA Summer League appearance with the San Antonio Spurs. In a 66‑93 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, he logged 6 minutes and 13 seconds, scoring 2 points on 1‑of‑4 shooting, grabbing four rebounds, recording one steal and committing one turnover. The 2024‑25 season marks his continued effort to earn a regular‑season roster spot after going undrafted, a prior G‑League stint with the Delaware Blue Coats, and a summer injury that halted a chance with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Meanwhile, five Polish teenagers (ages 14‑17) have been selected for the inaugural Chicago Camp Experience organized by NBA Basketball School. From July 19‑25 they will train for over 20 hours under U.S. coaches, including Chris Oliver, and participate in WNBA All‑Star Weekend events such as the Live Fan Festival, three‑point contest, Skills Challenge and the All‑Star Game. The program aims to expose the young players to elite basketball methodology and international networking opportunities.

Both initiatives highlight the growing involvement of Polish talent in U.S. basketball development pathways, from senior prospects seeking NBA roster chances to youth athletes gaining high‑level exposure abroad.
