Polish basketball news: EuroLeague loss and player injury

LOTTO AZS UMCS Lublin suffered a significant defeat in the EuroLeague, losing 69:88 to the French side Tango Bourges Basket. The Polish champions struggled with the physical presence and depth of the visiting team, trailing 35:55 by halftime. This loss, following previous defeats against Emlak Konut and ZVVZ USK Praga, leaves Lublin with minimal chances of advancing from the group stage.

In domestic news, Enea Łaciate Astoria Bydgoszcz announced that key player Kacper Kłaczek has suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon rupture. The injury occurred during a match against WKS Śląskiem Wrocław. Kłaczek, who had been performing strongly in the PGE Basket Liga and had recently been called up to the Polish national team's broad squad, will now undergo surgery and long-term rehabilitation.
