Polish Border Guard appoints 19 new officers and opens recruitment

The Carpathian Border Guard Unit held a ceremony in Nowy Sącz on 29 June, promoting 19 sub‑officers—seven women and twelve men—to the rank of corporal. The ceremony was led by Brigadier General Adam Jopek, and the top graduate, Corporal Gabriela Jarosz, achieved the highest national score of 4.97 out of 5.

Separately, the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit announced a recruitment drive for permanent and contract positions. Applicants will receive a net salary exceeding PLN 6,000 and a tax‑free housing allowance of PLN 900 per month. The selection no longer requires a foreign‑language exam and includes general knowledge, physical, psychological, and medical tests. The recruitment is open to Polish citizens with at least secondary education and no criminal record.
