Polish border police deport Ukrainian man suspected of smuggling migrants from Belarus
Polish border police from the Nadbużany unit deported a 27‑year‑old Ukrainian citizen, accusing him of organizing illegal migration from Belarus into Poland. The man allegedly arranged the transport of migrants across the border and then moved them deeper into the country for profit. A court decision bars him from re‑entering Poland for six years and bans him from all Schengen states. He was handed over to Ukrainian border authorities after being taken to the state border.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Lublin District Prosecutor’s Office and the Border Guard’s Operational‑Investigation Department. Authorities warned that transporting people who have crossed the border illegally can be punishable by up to eight years in prison.
