Polish business landscape shows divide between startup growth and regulatory hurdles
Recent data highlights a complex landscape for entrepreneurship in Poland. A report by the Startup Poland Foundation reveals that 55% of large companies with at least 250 employees have collaborated with startups, with 83% of those firms expressing satisfaction with the partnership. Experts note that while corporations seek agility and innovation, they prioritize partners who can provide security, expertise, and reliable implementation within complex corporate structures.
However, broader economic sentiment remains cautious. A survey conducted by SW Research for Dziennik Gazeta Prawna indicates that 54.5% of respondents believe current regulations, taxes, and economic conditions in Poland do not favor entrepreneurship. This sentiment aligns with Poland's standing in the World Bank’s Business Ready rankings, where the country placed 28th out of 101 overall, 45th in tax regulations, and 41st regarding regulations for starting a business.
