Polish business leaders discuss wealth and investments

Marek Piechocki, co-founder of the clothing giant LPP, has participated in his first major interview, breaking his long-standing anonymity. LPP, which owns brands such as Reserved, Sinsay, Cropp, House, and Mohito, operates over 4,000 stores across approximately 35 markets. Piechocki revealed that he has transferred his wealth to the Semper Simul family foundation to ensure the company remains in Poland and the Pomerania region, with provisions preventing his children from selling their shares.

LPP aims for annual revenue growth of 15-20 percent, driven by Sinsay expansion in small towns, growth in Central Europe, potential entry into Central Asia, and e-commerce development.

In the sports sector, businessman Rafał Dobrzycki, a major shareholder in Panattoni Europe, has significantly increased investment in the Widzew football club following his takeover in March 2025. After acquiring shares for 24 million PLN and providing additional capital, Dobrzycki has overseen a massive transfer offensive. During the 2025/26 season, Widzew's wage expenditures exceeded 100 million PLN, supported by a total capital injection of 143.6 million PLN, contributing to record revenues for the club.
