Polish Catholic bishops decry government rhetoric and urge moral renewal

Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski delivered a homily at the V National Prayer for the Country in Strachocin, denouncing the government's use of lies, cynicism and harsh language toward political opponents, while exempting the president from his criticism.

Bishop Tadeusz Bronakowski, speaking at a Mass in Miejsce Piastowe, called for spiritual sobriety and moral formation, emphasizing the Church’s role in guiding citizens toward responsibility, virtue and national cohesion.

Both leaders framed their remarks as part of a broader effort by the Polish Catholic Church to influence public discourse and reinforce Christian values in the nation’s political life.
