Catholic communities in Poland observe the month of the Rosary

Catholic communities across Poland are observing the month of the Rosary, marked by various liturgical events and commemorations. A significant milestone was celebrated in Różanystok, marking the 200th anniversary of the Living Rosary movement. Founded by Blessed Pauline Jaricot in 1826 in Lyon, the movement emphasizes communal prayer through small groups where members commit to praying specific parts of the Rosary daily.

Numerous parishes are organizing special services, including Rosary processions, consecrations of Rosaries for children preparing for First Holy Communion, and prayer vigils. Many communities are also preparing for the upcoming Papal Day, which will include collections for the Foundation Dzieło Nowego Tysiąclecia to support scholarships for talented youth from impoverished backgrounds.

Other local religious activities include pilgrimages, preparations for the sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion, and commemorations of Saint Faustina Kowalska. The month also features various charitable initiatives and parish-specific celebrations, such as the anniversary of church dedications and community meetings.
