Andrzej Morozowski funeral held in Warsaw

Funeral services for prominent Polish political journalist Andrzej Morozowski were held on August 14 at the Powązki Military Cemetery in Warsaw. Morozowski, a long-time TVN24 presenter known for his program ‘Tak jest’, passed away on August 4 at the age of 69 following a battle with cancer.

The public ceremony was attended by numerous figures from the media and entertainment industries, including Piotr Kraśko, Adam Michnik, and Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska. During the service, colleagues and friends delivered emotional tributes. Tomasz Sianecki described Morozowski as a ‘multidimensional’ professional, while Dominika Wielowieyska highlighted his passion for life and his role in covering pivotal moments in Polish politics.

A moving letter from his wife, Agata Nowakowska, was read aloud by her brother, Krzysztof Nowakowski. In the letter, she praised his journalistic ethics, noting his ability to ask difficult questions while maintaining a respectful dialogue with politicians. Following the public ceremony, a private burial was held in Pyrach for immediate family and close friends.
