Polish Armed Forces prepare for major military parade in Warsaw
Preparations are underway for the Polish Armed Forces Day parade, scheduled for August 15, 2026, in Warsaw. The celebrations, held under the theme "Polska SAFE — Bezpieczna Polska," will feature a major military parade along the Wisłostrada.
Recent rehearsals have included aerial displays of military aircraft and helicopters, as well as night-time ground vehicle trials. The upcoming parade is expected to showcase advanced military hardware, including F-35 "Husarz" fighter jets, Abrams and K2 tanks, HIMARS, and Patriot missile systems. The event serves as a demonstration of Poland's ongoing military modernization and combat readiness.
Due to these preparations and various local infrastructure projects, significant traffic disruptions and public transport changes are expected across various regions, including central Warsaw, where road closures and detours will be implemented to accommodate military movements and ongoing construction.
