Polish cities advance urban greenery through new public tenders

Municipalities in Poland are advancing urban greenery projects through new public tenders. In Katowice, the Municipal Greenery Department has launched tenders for seven locations selected by residents via the Green Budget. The project, with a total budget of 146,000 PLN, includes adding plants, shrubs, and ornamental grasses to streets such as Kilińskiego, Sikorskiego, and Chorzowska to improve visual aesthetics and manage rainwater runoff.

In Poznań, Poznańskie Inwestycje Miejskie has received two bids for the construction of a Green City Square on the Rataje estate. The project covers approximately 6,000 square meters and will feature new greenery, walking paths, and small architecture for recreation. The city allocated 4,150,000 PLN for the investment, and the lowest bid received stands at approximately 3,910,312 PLN.
