Poland releases secondary school admission results and remaining vacancies

Polish education authorities have published the first‑stage results of the 2026/2027 secondary school recruitment. In Olsztyn, 2,867 candidates vied for 2,212 places, leaving 655 students without a spot. In Gorzów, 2,355 applicants achieved an overall placement rate of about 87%, with roughly 100 vacancies still open. Chełm reported 874 places across liceums, technics and vocational schools, and more than 1,000 applications for its most popular IV Liceum Ogólnokształcące. Zielona Góra announced that 2,250 of its 2,700 allocated places were filled, with about 370 seats still free and 317 students awaiting placement. Poznań and its county submitted 11,580 applications, allocating 9,982 places; 1,115 candidates remained unplaced and 483 applications were incomplete, leaving 1,013 vacancies to be filled after the confirmation deadline. The Maritime University of Szczecin, while a higher‑education institution, also completed its recruitment with 2,662 applications, exceeding capacity on 15 of 16 programmes. Across the regions, candidates must confirm their choice by mid‑July and provide original documents, after which final lists of admitted and unadmitted students will be posted.

The authorities have indicated that additional seats may be created in response to the remaining demand, and a supplemental recruitment round will begin in July for the unfilled positions.
