Polish cities cut land sale prices and face local opposition

The City of Poznań announced a second tender for a 4.8‑ha industrial land complex in the Żegrze area, lowering the price to 18.5 million zł (down from 22.3 million zł). The parcel comprises three adjoining plots intended for production, storage and logistics near the City Logistics Poznań III hub. Potential buyers must consider legal constraints, including a statutory right of first refusal held by the Kostrzyńsko‑Słubicka Special Economic Zone, and the need to build new road access, water, sewer and energy connections.

Meanwhile, the City of Szczecin put a centrally located plot bounded by Aleja Wojska Polskiego, Królowej Korony Polskiej and Monte Cassino up for sale despite resident protests. The asking price is 12 million zł, with three bidders, including the Szczecin‑Kamieńska Metropolitan Chapter, having submitted deposits. Local inhabitants fear the loss of green space and the construction of residential buildings that would alter the character of the neighbourhood.
