Polish cities launch textile collection drives in Bielsko‑Biała and Siemianowice

On 1 August 2026 the Waste Management Department of the Bielsko‑Biała municipal office began a series of mobile textile‑collection points across 36 locations in the city, including districts such as Osiedle Wojska Polskiego and Straconka. The service, operated by the waste‑handling firm PreZero, accepts damaged clothing, footwear, linens, curtains and other textiles, with each vehicle stopping for about an hour. Residents are also urged to use alternative reuse options, such as free pick‑up via parcel lockers, donation boxes, second‑hand shops or online community platforms.

Separately, on 30 July 2026 the municipal Waste Management Department of Siemianowice Śląskie, together with the local sports‑recreation authority, organized a free wardrobe‑swap at the KS “Michał” sports complex. Participants brought clean, wearable garments, shoes or accessories to exchange with others, promoting cost‑saving and environmental benefits through clothing reuse.
