Polish cities of Suwałki and Tarnów appoint new council officials

In Suwałki, Alicja Andrulewicz of the Razem dla Suwałk party was sworn in as a city councillor on 24 June, replacing Kamil Klimek after his resignation to become president of the local Science‑Technology Park. Andrulewicz, a former head of the municipal culture department and director of the Suwałki Cultural Centre, expressed gratitude and readiness to serve residents.

In Tarnów, the city council elected Edyta Kowalska as its new chairman during the 36th ordinary session on 25 June. After two rounds of voting, Kowalska secured an absolute majority with 12 votes. A former kindergarten director and educator, she highlighted her commitment to cooperation on issues such as public transport, family support, education, culture, and social assistance.
