Poland and Hungary showcase summer open‑air cinema events

Several Polish towns are hosting free outdoor film screenings this summer. In Świątniki Górne, a screening of "Wielki Marty" is scheduled for 7 August at the Park&Ride parking lot, followed by a family film "Szybcy i sprytni" on 21 August. Łask will hold a community‑chosen film night on 30 August at the market square, offering choices such as *Green Book*, the Polish comedy *Znajomi* and a 4K version of *Amadeusz*. Szczecin’s "Kino na Leżakach" series continues with three free shows in August: the family animation *Rybki z ferajny* (6 August), the racing drama *Le Mans ’66* (20 August) and the comedy *Wycieczka na studia* (27 August). Wrocław will present a free open‑air showing of Andrzej Wajda’s *Pan Tadeusz* on 3 August at the Market Square, part of the TAURON New Horizons Film Festival and the 10‑year anniversary of the Museum of *Pan Tadeusz*. In Lubin, a successful pool‑side cinema event prompted organizers to consider a repeat later in August. Across the border, a Balaton‑area venue in Hungary is also listed as a site for open‑air cinema. All events are free, encourage family participation, and are supported by local municipalities, cultural institutions and, in some cases, European Union funding.
