Polish cities upgrade Egejska and Żytniej streets with new surfacing and infrastructure

In Warsaw, a new asphalt layer has been laid on Egejska street, allowing drivers to use the smooth surface from Monday. Additional work continues, including the reconstruction of speed‑bump installations and pedestrian crossings, with the road remaining partially closed until early August. Detours are in place as crews progress from the Mediterranean side toward St. Boniface street.

In Płock, reconstruction of Żytniej street in the Wyszogrodzka district began on 18 May and is scheduled to continue until 2026. The 4.6 million‑złotys project, partly funded by a 1.8 million‑złoty grant from the Government Road Development Fund, will upgrade underground utilities, replace the road surface with asphalt and concrete pavers, add 12 parking spaces, sidewalks, lighting and planting, and modernise gas, water and drainage networks. Residents are experiencing temporary inconveniences due to the removal of the old surface.
